We had a very good experience at Springfield hospital. We went to the emergency room for my sons symptoms of a concussion. The administration services admissions woman was quick to get our info, and compassionate. The nurses were prompt and thorough, very comforting. The APRN was very informative and super thorough answering all of our questions. It truly was a great experience for a scary traumatic issue we were having. The waiting room was empty and quiet when we got there - so take that into consideration. But I would still highly recommend.

I recently (May 2024) brought my partner to the ER for sudden intense abdominal pain that had gotten VERY severe during our 30 minute drive to the hospital. So the approximately three minutes we waited after intake felt like forever (and the emergency room experience itself is never fun)... BUT we so appreciate the professional care we received relatively close to our rural home. Within minutes, my partner was stabilized with IV fluids and pain control. And after sufficient fluids, they took him for a CT scan. The images were sent electronically to Dartmouth for review, and the results were reported back (a kidney stone, thankfully). So a few hours after we arrived he was discharged by the local ER doctor with instructions, prescriptions, and a referral to a specialist. Dartmouth is MUCH further from where we live, so we are extremely grateful for the partnership between these medical centers. I also appreciate being able to visit Springfield Hospital for routine medical care including well-woman checkups, bloodwork, and mammogram screenings.

When one is in intense pain, alone, and exhausted, what better comfort to rely on than this place! I had a highly positive experience in the ER. In spite of other clients being treated, I was ushered in promptly, seen, HEARD, and my issue was addressed. Each and every person who tended to me, from front desk, to nurses, to doctors, was both professional and very kind. I could not ask for more. Highly recommend this establishment.

I never go to the hospital unless I'm just about dying. Last night, I went to the ER. My experiences with ER staff at other hospitals haven't always been great so I was nervous. My anxiety was quickly put at ease. The staff is super friendly and we're sensitive to my needs and understanding of my history and current situation. I could not have asked for a better team! Thanks so much, guys. You did great!

My son's visit to a crowded ED was outstanding. He was nervous and everyone from registration, x-ray, nurses, and providers were so warm and welcoming. They provided great care in a very busy setting and still took time to give it a personal touch. This is exactly what we need from our local community hospital. We are very lucky to have this resource in our community. Thank you Springfield Hospital!

I am deeply grateful for the kindness and care I received during my emergency visit to Springfield Hospital. This was my first serious injury—a ski accident that left me with multiple broken ribs and internal injuries. Even before I fully understood the extent of my condition, I felt reassured knowing I was in good hands. Dr. Riccioni and the incredible nurse with the red fox tattoo, along with the rest of the team, treated me with genuine compassion. They didn’t just see me as a patient—they saw me as a person. Their swift action in identifying my injuries, their clear and compassionate communication, and their coordination to have me transferred to a trauma hospital made all the difference. It was, without a doubt, the best experience one could have under the most terrifying circumstances. To be completely vulnerable—at the mercy of strangers, with my life in their hands—was a life-changing moment. I will forever be grateful for the exceptional, compassionate care I received. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Local hospital. Enough said. They've done a great job whenever I needed them. Dartmouth is an hour away, if needed.

Upon arrival in the emergency room last night, I was greeted with the utmost professionalism. Everybody took the time to sit with me, get me checked in and provide excellent treatment. The entire staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and my experience was most warming.

My daughter visited the Springfield Hospital Emergency Department, Sunday March 10, 2024, we had a very positive experience from registration to discharge! Everyone was so friendly and attentive, we were in/out in less than 2 hours! My daughter’s nurse Liza was absolutely amazing, Cody was great, even shared X-Ray images with my daughter, Heather came by several times, we enjoyed her great conversation. My daughter ended up with a fractured growth plate in her ankle from a wrestling injury on Saturday and continuing to wrestle the whole weekend!! Dr. Cantu in orthopedics saw her first thing Monday morning, he had her casted and headed to school in no time! We appreciated the care and friendliness of the entire staff!!

The nurses both in the Er and the main floor were amazing. They always had a smile and were calm and understanding during the whole stay that my husband did. I was very pleased with the care they provided.
